Squircle corner

An arc bends in one frame and the eye reads a rounded box. A squircle spreads the curvature along the edge, so the shape is never not bending. One number moves between the two.

Design

Hand-drawn ring

A circle that never quite closes. The overshoot at the end is the whole point: it stops being an interface ring and becomes a mark someone made.

Hex cell

Clip-path, not border-radius: ground, edge and shadow share one outline. The tier dimming is a continuous number, so rows fade rather than switch.
